Halloween spending to hit £481m

Posted on

Overall spend on Halloween products reach £481m this year, according to forecasts from GlobalData.

This increase of 1.7% is expected to be led by spending on clothing, which will jump 3.1% to £166m. Grocery retailers are set to benefit from a 2.9% uplift in spending on food, including trick or treat sweets and pumpkins, to £140m.

As retailers prepare their store for the influx of customers, it’s important that they keep their in-store technology in mind also.

Retailers need to ensure their EPoS (Electronic Point of Sale) systems are in good working order, their back-office servers operational and their digital screens delivering their message too so that they can give their customers the shopping experience they really deserve.

We understand just how frightening it can be when the technology you rely on is down, especially at a busy time of year so don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Ensure your customers enjoy a superior experience in your store and be confident that they will leave with a smile.
