Vista’s hospitality IT projects team successfully delivers complex technology projects to many UK restaurant brands. Our team works across this broad industry sector in a range of hospitality environments including coffee shops, quick service restaurants (QSR), pubs, casual dining, hotels and cinemas. Our customers include two of the largest restaurant chains in the world.

Vista’s hospitality IT projects team delivers a range of complex projects for our customers including new restaurant openings, refits and minor and major restaurant, cinema and pub IT rollouts as well as IMaC activity.

Vista Technology Support provides a range of IT project services to some of the largest primary healthcare providers in the UK and Ireland. Vista has extensive knowledge and experience in the staging, configuration and deployment of IT in unique and complex healthcare settings including pharmacy, opticians and hospitals.

Vista is approved to work with public sector organisations under the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) – Technology Services 3 (TS3) agreement.

World-leading PCI- DSS P2PE Chip and Pin PED Deployment

 

Vista Technology Support is proud of the fact that the business was the first IT service provider in the world to gain attestation for its P2PE installation and maintenance capability and has since maintained its status holding an Attestation of Compliance (AoC) and Attestation of Validation (AoV) against the requirements of PCI-DSS P2PE which is validated by an independent industry leading QSA, NCC group.

This is of significant benefit to businesses that are looking for an IT service provider to manage their P2PE chip and pin deployment – it provides assurances that our systems, processes and people have already been validated to the latest requirements of PCI-DSS.

Vista has deployed over 100,000 P2PE chip and pin terminals for retail, hospitality and pharmacy customers. These P2PE rollouts include VeriFone and Ingenico devices working with payments solution providers such as Freedompay, FIS and Adyen, to name a few.

 


Project Management and Co-ordination
At the heart of every IT project is a great project team. We are incredibly proud of what Vista’s Prince II trained Project Managers and Project Co-ordinators achieve for our customers. Often working throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays, the team is familiar with the complexities that are part and parcel of managing IT projects in retail, hospitality and healthcare environments. The team works very closely with our customers and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are aligned and that milestones and project KPIs are reported through to project completion.
Digital Project Instruction and Sign-off
Vista project administration is entirely digital. Gone are the days where project plans and engineers’ manuals and instructions are paper based. Vista Technology Support have built their own systems to ensure everything from initial scope of works through to digital sign-off of completed works is accurately captured; this means the projects are efficient, highly effective and delivered in an environmentally friendly way. All project information is captured in Vista’s in-house Metrix system. Our customers can see a live view of project progress through our projects’ portal. Vista’s Project Managers and Co-ordinators can view all project activity through project specific dashboards ensuring full visibility of important project activity and milestones.
Secure Project IT Asset Storage
Vista Technology Support’s Projects Services department has over 40,000 square feet of highly secure warehouse space at its disposal. All customer IT assets are insured by Vista whilst within our premises. All customer project stock is managed by our in-house developed stock management system which provides end-to-end asset tracking and audit history and stored close to our staging facility. This means that the Logistics and Staging teams can deploy large-scale IT rollouts with speed and accuracy.
IT Staging and Configuration
Our state-of-the-art staging lab enables Vista to offer customers a professional and efficient EPoS and IT build and test environment. Our dedicated Staging team creates a bespoke virtual store or restaurant environment for our customers. Our customers’ IT equipment such as EPoS systems, laptops, tablets and handheld terminals will be imaged, configured and tested in real-life situations prior to being shipped to our project engineer for installation at our customer’s site. This is a key stage of any project to ensure that all technology to be deployed will be working as it should prior to go-live.
Installation, Moves and Changes (IMaC) services
As technology specialists, Vista understands that business trading environments change all the time. These changes can be small but technically complex in nature. Vista Technology Support classifies these changes as installations, moves and changes (IMaC) activity. IMaCs can range from a site closure, a site re-fit, a single location requiring some planned changes such as additional network points or the movement of technology within a location.

Vista has over 25 years’ experience in managing IT IMaC services. Each IMaC activity is tailored precisely to our customers’ requirements and delivered to exact project timeframes and costs.

Our PRINCE2-qualified Project Managers are equipped to support the strictest of timelines for your required change. Our IMaC activities are delivered by using our tried and tested methodology in a way that’s suited to your individual business requirements, which is why we often complete IMaC activity out-of-hours to avoid disruption to your business.

Our Data Cabling team has a wealth of experience in retail and hospitality IT network cabling infrastructure and are approved CommScope and Excel cabling installation partners. New Store, Restaurant or Pharmacy Openings
At Vista we understand the importance of a new store, restaurant or pharmacy project; all eyes will be on the new premises at point of opening, new customers and patients will have high expectations, as will our customer colleagues and execs.

From small scale refits to large, multi-store, restaurant or pharmacy openings, Vista’s new store opening (NSO) team have the experience, systems, scale and agility to ensure that the technology required for your new business premises is installed and in working order so that you are ready to welcome your customers or patients.

Vista Project Services NSO team works with our clients to establish the full requirements and scope of works for the new premises. Vista plans the network architecture and aligns plans with all project stakeholders so that the data cabling is installed and correctly patched prior to the installation of the new technology. Our Staging teams configure the new technology before delivery to the site. Vista’s project engineering teams install and fully test the technology and complete digital sign-off with our customers before handover to the new site manager.

Secure IT Asset Delivery
At Vista we understand how important it is to ensure that all IT assets required to complete an IT rollout arrive on-time and undamaged. Our highly experienced and trusted Logistics team receive shipping instructions ahead of the project install dates; they prepare and pack the IT assets for shipping and, through Vista’s Metrix development, track the IT assets at every stage of their journey to eventual installation.
IT Project Engineers Expert Installation
Vista Technology Support has a dedicated team of highly experienced and qualified IT project engineers. This team has worked with some of the largest retail, hospitality and pharmacy organisations in the UK and Ireland and has a broad technology skillset. Many of our IT project engineers have worked for Vista for over 10 years. They work very closely with our Project managers, Co-ordinators and our customers.

The team is held in high regard by our customers as they are well organised, highly effective and extremely helpful. The project engineering team perform a range of project activities including new store openings, full infrastructure cabling 1st and 2nd fix, P2PE attested chip and pin deployment and full estate technology refresh projects.

Decommission and Disposal of Legacy IT
When our customers deploy technology, it often means that there is a requirement to remove the legacy technology that’s already deployed within the customer’s estate. Our Project Managers will agree the scope of work at the start of each project which will include instruction on what is to happen with any legacy equipment from the project. This instruction will be built into the project plan and all legacy IT assets will be securely packaged and returned to Vista’s sortation centre. At Vista’s sortation centre the legacy IT assets will be sorted into different categories – those to be returned to the customer, that can be re-used, or re-sold, or classed as WEEE. Vista Technology Support is extremely proud of the fact that we have achieved a 97% average success rate in the re-use, re-sale, re-purpose or recycling of legacy IT hardware assets.
